Pet Portraits in Pastel
About the Artist Shane is a self taught award winning midlands born artist who, with his life long love of wildlife, painting, sketching and photography, combines them to produce his stunning paintings. He exhibits work at The Wildlife Art Society International ( T.W.A.S.I ) and Marwell International Wildlife Society (M.I.W.A.S also the Association of Animals) About the Workshop If you are new to pet portraits and/or pastels then this is a great opportunity to learn from a master. If you have already used pastels for portraits there is still bound to be specific techniques to understand. Materials for the Workshop In the workshop we will be using velour paper (450mm x 350mm) with the subject pre-outlined ready to go. All materials for use on the day will be provided, including masking tape, hard pastels, soft pastels and pastel pencils. Shane will also bring boards with blocks to place underneath to raise. Feel free to bring along your own pastels and easels etc. if you wish Reference Material Reference photos will be provided and... This could get messy so please bring something to cover the table and floor Refreshments will be provided. Please bring your own cup or mug. |
