Sunday 17th October - Lee Burrows BA
Painting The Landscape
Lee works from his studio in rural Northamptonshire. His work is collected nationally and internationally through galleries, commissions and private collectors. For many years Lee has demonstrated at Art Fairs and regularly demonstrates oil painting for art groups. Lee takes workshops in his studio and also en plein air painting courses in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. Lee is very enthusiastic and is very keen to share his knowledge and expertise both in Art History and Artistic Practice that he has gained over the years.
About the workshop
Lee provides a relaxed workshop where attendees are encouraged to work at their own pace either on their own project using own reference photos or to follow Lee painting a landscape which Lee will provide on the day. The workshop will cover laying down the basic foundations, the structure of the painting, applying colour, working from thin paint at first then adding thicker paint, texture and highlights. Lee will give advice in composition, colour mixing and paint application whilst encouraging to consider the reasoning involved that highlight the key elements in the work produced.
The aim of the course is to give you the knowledge and confidence to continue painting under your own steam.
