Picture

About the Artist
George studied Drawing & painting to Degree level at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee.
After a career as a Creative Director in the Advertising sector he took up Watercolour painting with serious intent in 2015. He has studied under modern day masters of the medium, Joseph Zbukvic and Alvaro Castagnet.

About the Workshop
George will do a painting demonstrating the 4 different stages and the importance of mixing pigment on the paper to achieve Lost and Found Edges.
Following this, artists will work on their own painting from their own reference photos of a landscape of their choice. George will be available for any guidance/encouragement etc.

Materials for the Workshop
George has a preference for artists to work on 16" x 12" 140lb ROUGH textured paper such as Saunders Waterford or Bockingford and for artists to have their paper taped to a board at an angle.

Reference Material
Attendees should bring a selection of photo references of landscapes.
